A Vein Clinic You Can Count On
Are you tired of heavy legs at the end of the day? Ankle discolouration? Watching your varicose veins get large & ropey? Walking with hot and itchy veins in the summer? Having to wear long compressions stockings?
We can help.
Varicose veins force people to hide their legs. Many people, in fact, stop wearing shorts or skirts altogether. Others live with lifelong discomfort from varicose veins. Varicose veins can also cause serious medical conditions such as phlebitis or ulcers.
Fortunately, varicose veins can be removed with simple minimal invasive techniques in our office. The procedure is performed by a vascular surgeon while you are awake and takes about 1 hour. Most people only need 1-2 days of rest after the procedure.
At KW Vein Clinic, we offer the latest technology including Venefit and VenaSeal. Venefit has proven superior to EVLT (laser ablation) in medical trials. VenaSeal is a new generation of vein closure therapy which avoids the discomfort of needles. Veins which cannot be treated by minimal invasive techniques, may be treated with ultrasound guided vein stripping.
Your procedure will be performed by a vascular surgeon, who specializes in the treatment of arteries and veins. While other physicians offer vein treatment, only vascular surgeons receive fellowship training dedicated to repairing arteries and veins. Our facility is licensed by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario to provide dedicated venous treatment.
At KW Vein Clinic, we work towards achieving your goal of healthy legs. Ask your family physician to send us a referral, so we may begin your assessment. We offer consultations at either our Guelph or Kitchener offices. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
